How long do dental implants in Mexico take?

Two trips are generally required to complete dental implant procedures in Mexico. The first part of treatment usually includes consultation, planning, and impressions. During this time, your doctor may also need to remove any damaged teeth. If your jawbone is not thick enough or too soft, your dentist will perform bone grafting as well. Bone grafting is done to provide a more solid base for the implant. The implant placement will take place in the first part of the treatment as well.

Your next trip will involve the placement of abutment and crown (the tooth-looking part). This second part of the treatment takes place between two to three months after the first part because your bone and the implant need to fuse together (a process called osseointegration) before your doctor can place the abutment and crown.
